Grusha runs the Glaseado Gym on Glaseado Mountain and awards the Ice Badge. Before the Gym he was a professional snowboarder, ranked second in the world, who once won six major Paldean competitions in a row until an accident forced him to retire. He keeps a cool front but lets his feelings show mid-battle, and because the Gym is all he has left, he frets about keeping the post until a rematch during a Gym Inspection rekindles his old drive.
His Gym Test is the Snow Slope Run: the player rides Koraidon or Miraidon down a gated course against a 90-second clock, with every missed gate adding five seconds. In The Indigo Disk he can be invited to Blueberry Academy as a special coach.
His Gym team is Frosmoth, Beartic, Cetitan and Altaria. Altaria is his ace, and he Terastallizes it into the Ice Tera Type at the first opportunity, a Dragon and Flying Pokémon playing an Ice role. Beating him also earns TM124, Ice Spinner. In Pokémon Horizons: The Series he tests Liko during her Tera Training and refuses to pass anyone who cannot beat him.
His card is a Supporter that draws until you hold five cards, or seven if none of your Pokémon have Energy attached. It was printed in Paldea Evolved as an Uncommon (#184) and a full-art Ultra Rare (#253), both drawn by GIDORA, plus a Special Illustration Rare (#268) by DOM.
The regular Uncommon printing, illustrated by GIDORA.
The full-art Ultra Rare, also by GIDORA.
The Special Illustration Rare, with its own artwork by DOM.
