Zygarde

Zygarde in the games: Kalos's guardian of order

Zygarde is a Dragon and Ground type Legendary introduced in X and Y, where it appeared only in its 50 percent Forme. It does not evolve. Its signature ability, Aura Break, reverses the Fairy Aura and Dark Aura abilities of Kalos's other two Legendaries, Xerneas and Yveltal.

Sun and Moon revealed that every Zygarde is made of Zygarde Cells and Cores, and added the small, dog-like 10 percent Forme and the towering Complete Forme. Trainers switch between 10 percent and 50 percent with the Zygarde Cube, while a Zygarde with the Power Construct ability becomes Complete Forme mid-battle once its HP drops below half. Pokémon Legends: Z-A put Zygarde at the center of its story and gave Complete Forme a Mega Evolution, Mega Zygarde.

Zygarde in the anime: Squishy and the XY&Z arc

In the XY&Z arc, a Zygarde Core that Team Flare had codenamed Z1 hid in Bonnie's bag, and she nicknamed it Squishy. Cornered by Bryony, it absorbed nearby Cells and became its 10 percent Forme for the first time, driving her off with Land's Wrath. In the arc's finale Team Flare seized a second Core, Z2, and turned it loose on Lumiose City. Squishy also takes its Complete Forme in the film Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel.
