Paras in the anime

In The Problem with Paras, Cassandra owned a Paras that was extremely weak, but she needed it to evolve into a Parasect so its giant mushroom could aid her medical research, which it did by the end of the episode.

Paras on cards

Paras's first card came from 1999 Jungle, illustrated by Ken Sugimori, followed the next year by a Base Set 2 printing and Erika's Paras from Gym Challenge. Later Common printings rotated illustrators including Kagemaru Himeno on Neo Revelation and Yuka Morii on FireRed & LeafGreen, while Crown Zenith's Galarian Gallery gave Paras a Rare illustrated by Kouki Saitou. The 151 and Journey Together sets kept Paras as a Common into the Scarlet & Violet era, with the latter illustrated by Ayako Ozaki in 2025.
