Oinkologne is a quadrupedal hog Pokémon whose male form is entirely grayish black while the female is patterned differently, both sharing pink coloring on their eyelids, snouts, hooves and tail tips and leg muscles strong enough to leap over 16 feet high.
It is the only Pokémon introduced in Generation IX with gender differences, the only one of those to learn the same moves at different levels between genders, and female Oinkologne and Lechonk are the only Pokémon with Aroma Veil as a standard rather than Hidden Ability.
Both genders of Oinkologne debuted in Mission: Find Oinkologne's Partner!. A male named Prince, belonging to Renta, and a female named Twirly, belonging to Yuno, participated together in the Pigton Town Multi Battle Tournament.
Oinkologne's first cards arrived in Scarlet and Violet, with a standard Uncommon alongside Double Rare and Ultra Rare Oinkologne ex printings from aky CG Works. Obsidian Flames added Uncommons from Pani Kobayashi and Akira Komayama, Paldean Fates paired another Komayama Uncommon with a Shiny Rare from Misa Tsutsui, and Journey Together added an Uncommon from Mina Nakai.
