Bramblin's eyes float freely inside its spherical body of thorny plant stalks, flipping and rotating instead of blinking to express emotion. It despises getting wet and makes its home in dry, rocky regions such as deserts, riding the wind as its main form of locomotion, and is tied with Sunkern and Lotad for the lowest base Defense of all Grass-type Pokémon. It evolves after 1,000 steps taken outside its Poke Ball using the Let's Go! feature, though a known bug in Scarlet and Violet affects how these steps are counted.
Bramblin made its debut in The Wild Pair, Friede and Cap!, under the ownership of Shine, before being captured by Pokémon hunters and later evolving into Brambleghast.
Bramblin's earliest printings were two Common cards in Paldea Evolved, illustrated by Pani Kobayashi and Miki Tanaka, alongside an Illustration Rare by sowsow in the same set. Temporal Forces and Phantasmal Flames have each added further printings.
