Audino in the anime

Audino appeared in Dreams by the Yard Full!, where Cilan explained that Unova's Nurse Joys use Audino instead of Chansey as hospital partners. A Nurse Joy from Kalos owned an Audino capable of Mega Evolving in A Giga Battle with Mega Results!, much of the episode following her search for an Audinite. In Where Did You Go, Audino?, five people's Audino, including Mimi's, went missing after Team Rocket's interference.

Audino on the card

Audino was designed by Saya Tsuruta with Pokémon the Series: Black & White in mind, intended as a nurse figure to replace Chansey in Unova; its rabbit-like features and stethoscope-like ear feelers reinforce that medical role. Its first card is a 2011 Black & White Uncommon illustrated by MAHOU, and Tsuruta herself illustrated its Black Bolt common. Fates Collide later added both an Audino EX and an M Audino EX Ultra Rare, and the Mega Evolution era's Ascended Heroes brought a Mega Audino ex in both Double Rare and Ultra Rare forms.
