Energy Recycle System offers a choice between a small immediate Energy gain, taking one basic Energy card into hand, or shuffling three basic Energy cards from the discard pile back into the deck. The Celestial Storm wording restates the same choice as a bulleted list and drops the step of showing the cards to the opponent.
The card debuted in the EX era's Dragon set and was reprinted twice more within that era, in Unseen Forces and Power Keepers, before its fourth printing in the Sun and Moon era's Celestial Storm. Zu-Ka illustrated every printing. Our catalog lists 4 printings.
Energy Recycle System's four printings span two eras more than a decade apart, all Uncommon and all credited to Zu-Ka, and all offer the same underlying choice of effects.
The Dragon printing is Energy Recycle System's first release
The Power Keepers printing is the card's third EX era printing
The Celestial Storm printing restates the choice in bulleted form
Put one basic Energy from the discard pile into hand, or shuffle three basic Energy cards from the discard pile into the deck.
No, it presents the same two choices as a bulleted list and no longer asks the player to show the cards to the opponent.
