Zoroark

Zoroark in the anime: Master of Illusions

Zoroark debuted as the title character of the thirteenth movie, Zoroark: Master of Illusions. The businessman Grings Kodai abducts her and her adopted child Zorua, then uses threats against Zorua to make her project illusions of Raikou, Entei and Suicune rampaging through Crown City. What she does not know is that Zorua has already escaped Kodai's airship.

Zoroark on cards: Black & White to N's Zoroark ex

Zoroark's first card in an English expansion is Black & White #71 from April 2011, a holo illustrated by Naoki Saito; Japanese promos tied to its movie came first. Next Destinies (2012) followed with a secret rare Zoroark at #102, above the set's 99 cards. Shining Legends (2017) printed Zoroark-GX, including a rainbow secret rare at #77. Unbroken Bonds (2019) teamed it with Greninja in the tag team Greninja & Zoroark-GX, printed four ways, including full arts at #200 and #201 and a rainbow secret rare at #222.

Lost Origin (2022) printed the Hisuian form as Hisuian Zoroark V and VSTAR, the VSTAR also appearing as secret rares at #203 and #213 illustrated by aky CG Works. Journey Together (2025) printed N's Zoroark ex, tying the card back to its Black and White trainer, as a special illustration rare by Megumi Mizutani and a hyper rare by takuyoa. White Flare (2025) added an illustration rare by Iwamoto05.

Why collectors follow Zoroark

Zoroark combines a movie lead with a varied card record: a tag team GX shared with Greninja, a Hisuian VSTAR and a Trainer's Pokémon ex. Its early Black & White and Next Destinies cards and its modern special art cards appeal to different collectors, which gives a Zoroark binder a wide span.
