Bronzor is a Steel and Psychic type that evolves into Bronzong at level 33. Levitate makes it immune to Ground-type moves, and Heatproof halves the damage it takes from Fire-type attacks and from burns. Its hidden ability, Heavy Metal, doubles its weight for weight-based moves, and Bronzor is already heavy: 60.5 kilograms at just 0.5 meters tall.
After a brief cameo in the movie The Rise of Darkrai, Bronzor joined the TV series with Team Galactic Commander Saturn in "Journey to the Unown!," lighting his path through the Solaceon Ruins. Mars turned out to have one as well, and Cynthia's Garchomp made short work of both in "Double Team Turnover!" Canalave Gym Leader Byron sent a Bronzor against Ash in "Dealing With Defensive Types!," where Chimchar beat it even through Heatproof.
Bronzor debuted in Mysterious Treasures (2007) as a Common illustrated by Ken Sugimori, who drew it again for Team Up in 2019. Majestic Dawn and Stormfront followed in 2008, and Arceus (2009) printed it twice, an Uncommon by kawayoo and a Common by Masakazu Fukuda. From there Bronzor appeared as a Common in nearly every era, from HeartGold & SoulSilver through Sword & Shield.
Temporal Forces (2024) gave Bronzor an Illustration Rare by sowsow, numbered above the set's 162 cards, alongside a regular Common. It has kept appearing as a Common into the Mega Evolution era, including Phantasmal Flames (2025) and Pitch Black (2026).
