The Next Destinies master set takes 180 slots, set against 103 cards: 99 in the official count plus 4 secret rares above it. Each card adds about 1.7 slots on average, because a large share of the set comes in more than one finish. Normal prints account for 93 of the slots, reverse holos for 76 and holos for 11. Laid out nine to a side, the full master set checklist fills 10 double-sided binder pages. It belongs to the Black & White era of the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on February 8, 2012.
The Next Destinies master set is built from only three variant families: Normal at 93 slots, Reverse Holo at 76 and Holo at 11. There are no stamped or edition-based families to chase here. The reverse holo slots come from the Rare, Common and Uncommon tiers, so completing that family means a second copy of nearly every card at those rarities in the reverse holo finish. A reverse holo is the same card printed with the holographic foil laid over the card face instead of the art box, and each one gets its own binder slot.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 93 | 92 | 87% |
| Reverse Holo | 76 | 76 | 9.4% |
| Holo | 11 | 11 | 3.6% |
The Next Destinies master set cost is heavily concentrated. As of October 24, 2026, 179 of the 180 slots carry a price, and the ten most valuable slots hold 81 percent of the total value. By finish, normal prints make up 87 percent, reverse holos 9 percent and holos 4 percent. The lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to just 1 percent of the total. Condition matters little: the Lightly Played and up total sits 2 percent below Near Mint, and the Moderately Played and up total sits 3 percent below.

The hardest slots in the Next Destinies master set are all ordinary normal prints rather than variants: the Ultra Rare Reshiram-EX leads, followed by the Secret Rare Zoroark, then the Ultra Rare Zekrom-EX, Mewtwo-EX and Kyurem-EX. Together these five hold 54 percent of the master set's total value. Because none of them is a reverse holo or other special variant, the difficulty sits in the set's top-tier rares themselves, and the rest of the checklist weighs far less on the overall job.
At 180 slots, the Next Destinies master set is about equal to the Black & White era median of 184, so the binder work is typical for its period. By master set value it ranks 5th among the 12 comparable sets of the era. The previous set, Noble Victories, has 173 slots and a master set holding lower value, while the next set, Dark Explorers, has 207 slots and a master set holding higher value. Next Destinies therefore sits near the middle of that run in size and a step above its predecessor in value.

A Next Destinies master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 103 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
