Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the Scarlet & Violet era.
The English-language Pokémon TCG set 151 is led by Charizard ex, Blastoise ex and Venusaur ex, whose special illustration rares top the card list. It is an expansion in the Scarlet & Violet era and series, released on September 22, 2023 under the set code MEW. The release carries 165 official cards, with 42 secret cards above that count and 207 printings in all. Alakazam ex, Blastoise ex and Charizard ex each appear in three versions, and Erika's Invitation and Giovanni's Charisma are printed three times as well. The type spread leans on Water, Grass, Colorless and Fighting.
The 151 chase cards sit in the upper rarities: illustration rares, ultra rares, double rares, special illustration rares and three hyper rares, with the secret cards numbered past the printed 165. Charizard ex in special illustration rare leads the most valuable cards, illustrated by miki kudo, followed by Blastoise ex from Mitsuhiro Arita and Venusaur ex from Yoriyuki Ikegami. The illustration rares Charmander and Squirtle round out the top five. Those five cards hold 42 percent of the set's total card value, so value is concentrated but not locked into one or two pulls.
151 was released September 22, 2023.
