Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the WOTC era.
Skyridge is the closing expansion of the E-Card series and the last major release of the WOTC era, arriving on May 12, 2003 under set code SK. It lists 144 official cards, with 38 secret cards numbered above that line, for 182 printings in all. Its headline cards are Umbreon, Celebi, Gyarados, Alakazam and Kabutops, and the set repeats several names across multiple versions, with Magcargo and Magneton each printed four times and Crobat, Forretress and Kabutops three times. Its Pokémon lean on Grass, Colorless, Water and Fighting types.
Skyridge splits its rarities into commons and uncommons on one side and rares and holo rares on the other, with 38 chase-tier cards, and the secret cards sit above the printed count of 144. Umbreon, a Holo Rare illustrated by Atsuko Nishida, leads the set, followed by the Rare Celebi from Mitsuhiro Arita, then Gyarados and Alakazam, both Holo Rares by Kimiya Masago. Kabutops, another Nishida Rare, rounds out the top five. Those five cards alone carry 40 percent of the set's total card value, so the value is concentrated but not confined to a single pull.
Skyridge was released May 12, 2003.

As of October 2026, Skyridge holds the highest total card value of the 16 comparable WOTC sets and ranks 1st across all 130 sets in the game, at about 8.2 times the era median. Its Umbreon is also the era's most valuable single card, and trading activity places the set 8th in its era. At 144 printed cards it runs larger than the era median of 108. It followed Aquapolis, which holds less total value, and came before Ruby & Sapphire, which also holds less. Its cards first appeared in Japan in Mysterious Mountains and Split Earth.

A full Skyridge run comes to 182 printings, all 182 of them priced, so the 144 printed cards plus the 38 secrets can be tracked card by card. Because the top five cards hold 40 percent of the set's total card value, the cost of completing it is driven heavily by Umbreon and a handful of other Holo Rares and Rares, while the commons and uncommons add little. The sealed line lists 3 products, made up of decks and a booster pack, so Skyridge is represented in sealed form beyond singles.
