Cost shapes the Plasma Blast master set more than size does, though the job is a compact one: 178 slots against 105 cards in the set, which is 101 official cards plus 4 secret rares. Each card adds about 1.7 slots on average, split across 99 normal prints, 69 reverse holos and 10 holos. Laid out nine to a side, the full master set checklist fills 10 double-sided binder pages. It belongs to the Black & White era of the English-language Pokémon TCG and was released on August 14, 2013.
The Plasma Blast master set is built from three families: 99 normal prints, 69 reverse holos and 10 holos. The reverse holo slots come from the Common, Uncommon and Rare cards, so those tiers are the ones that take a second place in the binder. A reverse holo is a second print of the same card with the foil moved off the artwork box and onto the rest of the card, while a holo carries the foil on the artwork itself. The extra slots in this master set come from finish differences alone, with no stamped or edition-marked families among them.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 99 | 92 | 91% |
| Reverse Holo | 69 | 69 | 7.0% |
| Holo | 10 | 9 | 2.5% |
The Plasma Blast master set cost is lopsided. The ten most valuable slots hold 84 percent of the total value, while the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to just 1 percent. Normal prints carry 85 percent of the value, holos 9 percent and reverse holos 6 percent, so the reverse holo run, though it fills 69 slots, barely moves the total. As of October 24, 2026, 171 of the 178 slots carry a price. Most of the slots in this master set hold very little value, and nearly all of the value sits in a few cards.

Five slots hold 61 percent of the Plasma Blast master set's total value. The Ultra Rare Palkia-EX leads in normal print, followed by the Ultra Rare Dialga-EX and Genesect-EX, also in normal print. Fourth is the Secret Rare Rare Candy, and fifth is the holo of the Ultra Rare Jirachi-EX. That last slot is the surprising one: it is a variant rather than the card's main print, yet it ranks among the five highest-value slots in the whole master set.
At 178 slots, the Plasma Blast master set sits about equal to the Black & White era median of 184 slots, so the size is typical for its era. By master set value it ranks 6th among the 12 comparable sets of the era. The previous set, Plasma Freeze, runs to 184 slots and holds a higher master set value, while the next, Legendary Treasures, is a larger job at 243 slots with a similar value. Plasma Blast is average in length but carries a more top-heavy cost than the master sets around it.

A Plasma Blast master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 105 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
