The Surging Sparks master set takes 449 slots, set against 252 cards in the set: 191 official cards plus 61 secret rares. Each card adds about 1.8 slots on average, because the commons, uncommons and rares come in more than one finish. Reverse holos make up 165 slots, normal prints 159 and holos 125. Laid out nine to a side, the full master set fills 25 double-sided binder pages. That is a mid-sized job for a Scarlet & Violet era set in the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on November 8, 2024.
The bulk of the Surging Sparks master set is three plain families: reverse holo, normal and holo. The reverse holo slots come from the Common, Uncommon and Rare cards, which is why they run so high. Beyond those sit the stamped and special families, and they are where a master set checklist gets fiddly. There are Player Rewards Program stamped versions in both holo and normal, a Foil Cosmos holo family, and set logo holos including a jumbo set logo group. Each of these is its own binder slot, even when the card underneath is a common already sitting in the collection.

|---|---|---|---|
| Reverse Holo | 165 | 165 | 3.7% |
| Normal | 149 | 149 | 1.7% |
| Holo | 104 | 104 | 85% |

The Surging Sparks master set cost is lopsided: its ten most valuable slots hold 59 percent of the total value, while the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 3 percent. By finish, holos carry 94 percent of the value, reverse holos 4 percent and normal prints 3 percent. Pricing covers 444 of the 449 slots. As of October 24, 2026, the Medium Played and up total sits 8 percent below the Near Mint total, a modest gap, since so much value is concentrated in a handful of high-rarity cards.

The five hardest slots in the Surging Sparks master set are all main holo prints: Pikachu ex as a special illustration rare, then Latias ex and Milotic ex in the same tier. Fourth is the hyper rare Pikachu ex, and fifth is the special illustration rare Durant ex. Together they hold 48 percent of the master set's total value. None of the five is a secondary variant, so the difficulty here sits in the chase cards themselves rather than in an overlooked reverse holo or stamped print.
At 449 slots, the Surging Sparks master set is about equal to the Scarlet & Violet era median of 423, so the sheer size of the job is typical. By master set value it ranks 10th among the 16 comparable sets of its era. The previous set, Stellar Crown, is a smaller project at 322 slots and holds lower master set value. The next set, Prismatic Evolutions, runs to 473 slots and holds higher value.

A Surging Sparks master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 252 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
