The cost side of the Shining Fates master set is shaped by how small it is: 121 slots covering 73 cards, which is 72 official cards plus 1 secret card. Each card adds about 1.7 slots on average. Reverse holos make up 46 of the slots, normal prints 40 and holos 35. Laid out nine to a side, the full master set checklist fills 7 double-sided binder pages, a compact job for a Sword & Shield era set from the English-language Pokémon TCG, released February 19, 2021.
Most of the Shining Fates master set is three families: Reverse Holo, Normal and Holo. The reverse holo slots come from the Common, Uncommon, Rare and Holo Rare cards, which is why they outnumber the holos. Two single-slot families sit beside them. One is Holo Foil Cosmos, a foil pattern finish. The other is Normal Professor Program, a stamped version of a normal card. Each is its own slot in the binder, separate from the card's regular print, so a plain copy does not complete either of them.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reverse Holo | 46 | 46 | 12% |
| Normal | 39 | 39 | 5.8% |
| Holo | 34 | 34 | 69% |
| Holo Foil Cosmos | 1 | 0 | — |
| Normal Professor Program | 1 | 1 | 14% |
The Shining Fates master set cost is concentrated at the top. As of October 24, 2026, 120 of the 121 slots carry a price, and the ten most valuable hold 60 percent of the total value. The lower-value half of the priced slots holds just 8 percent. By finish, holos account for 69 percent of value, normal prints 19 percent and reverse holos 12 percent, so the reverse holo run is the largest group of slots but a small part of the value. The MP and up total sits 12 percent below the Near Mint total.

The hardest slot in this Shining Fates master set is not a chase rare but the Normal Professor Program version of Gym Trainer, an Uncommon and the most valuable slot overall. That is the variant surprise: a stamped print of a humble card outranks every holo. Behind it come the Holo prints of the Ultra Rare cards Poké Kid, Skyla and Alcremie V, then the Holo Rare VMAX Ditto VMAX. Together these five hardest slots hold 41 percent of the master set's total value.
At 121 slots, the Shining Fates master set is about 0.3 times the era median of 358 slots, so it is a small master set by Sword & Shield standards. By master set value it ranks 17th of 17 comparable sets in its era, the lowest of the group. The set before it, Vivid Voltage, has 358 slots and a master set that holds higher value, as does the next set, Battle Styles, at 316 slots. Both are far larger jobs to finish.

A Shining Fates master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 73 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
