Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the EX era.
POP Series 4, set code P4, is a promotional collection from the EX era, released on August 1, 2006 as part of the POP run. It is a small set of 17 cards, split between six Common, six Rare and five Uncommon cards, with no secret cards above the printed count. The Pokémon types it leans on are Psychic, Colorless, Grass and Water. Its headline cards are Chimecho δ, Deoxys ex and Sceptile, all Rares, and the card list is built around single copies of well-known Pokémon rather than a themed run of variants.
POP Series 4 has no chase-tier rarities. Its pull structure is only Common, Uncommon and Rare, so the most valuable cards are simply the best Rares. Chimecho δ leads the set, illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, followed by Deoxys ex, Sceptile by Atsuko Nishida, and Flygon by Hisao Nakamura. The one Uncommon among the top five is Pokémon Fan Club, in 4th place. Value is heavily concentrated: the top five cards alone hold 76 percent of the set's total card value, which leaves the other twelve cards with a small share between them.
POP Series 4 was released August 1, 2006.
POP Series 4 has 17 cards.
POP Series 4 is part of the EX era.
As of October 2026, POP Series 4 holds the 3rd highest total card value of the 10 comparable EX sets, about 2.9 times the era median, and its Chimecho δ ranks 3rd among the era's single most valuable cards. Trading activity is more modest, placing 7th in the era. Across the whole game it ranks 14th by total card value among 35 comparable sets. At 17 printed cards it sits about level with the era median. It followed POP Series 3, which holds lower total value, and came before Basic Energy (2007 copyright). Its cards first appeared in Japan in the PCG-P Promotional cards, which released on February 1, 2004 and share 16 cards with this set.

POP Series 4 is a short chase: all 17 catalog printings are priced, and none are secret or hidden above the card list. Because the top five cards carry 76 percent of the set's total card value, the cost of a complete set depends mostly on a few Rares, while the Commons and Uncommons fill in cheaply by comparison. The set's sealed line is a single product, listed as an other sealed item. Collectors building it should expect the Rares from the headline group to be the harder and costlier part of the run.
