Plasma Blast is an expansion in the Black & White era of the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on August 14, 2013 under the set code PLB. It carries 101 official cards plus 4 secret cards, for 105 printings in all. The set's headline cards are its EX Pokémon, with Dialga-EX, Genesect-EX and Jirachi-EX each printed in more than one version alongside Palkia-EX, which leads the card list by value. It leans on Water, Grass, Psychic and Dragon types, and its card list also repeats the trainers Iris and Machamp across multiple printings.
Plasma Blast's rarity ladder runs from commons, uncommons and rares up to 6 Ultra Rare cards and 4 Secret Rare cards, with the secret cards numbered past the printed 101. Palkia-EX is the most valuable card, followed by Dialga-EX and Genesect-EX, then the Secret Rare Rare Candy and Jirachi-EX. 5ban Graphics illustrated all five of those and 30 cards in the set overall. Value is concentrated, as the top five cards alone hold 65 percent of the set's total card value, so the Ultra Rare EX cards define what this release is worth.

A complete Plasma Blast run is 105 printings, and all 105 are priced. Because the top five cards carry 65 percent of the set's total card value, the weight of a complete set sits on the Ultra Rare EX cards and the Secret Rares, while the rest of the card list shares the remainder of the value between many cards. The set also has a sealed line of 7 products, covering booster packs, tins and a booster box, which the sealed section below lists.
