Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the Mega Evolution era.
Mega Evolution is the English-language Pokémon TCG expansion that opens the Mega Evolution era, released on September 26, 2025 under the set code MEG. It carries 132 official cards, with 56 secret cards numbered above that count, for 188 printings in all. The set is built around the returning Mega ex cards, and Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex each appear four times across its rarities. Trainer cards such as Acerola's Mischief, Lillie's Determination and Lt. Surge's Bargain also show up in several treatments. Grass, Fighting, Psychic and Colorless Pokémon make up its type spread.
The Mega Evolution card list climbs from commons and uncommons through rares to 66 chase-tier cards, with the secret cards numbered past the printed 132. Mega Lucario ex in Mega Hyper Rare leads the most valuable cards, drawn by 5ban Graphics, followed by the Special illustration rare Mega Gardevoir ex by Raita Kazama and a second Mega Lucario ex by Atsushi Furusawa. The Mega Hyper Rare Mega Gardevoir ex and the Special illustration rare Mega Venusaur ex round out the top five. Those five cards alone hold 62 percent of the set's total card value, so the chase is concentrated at the very top.

A complete Mega Evolution run means 188 printings, and all 188 are priced. Because the top five cards carry 62 percent of the set's total card value, the cost of finishing it depends mostly on a handful of Mega ex and Special illustration rare cards, while the large commons and uncommons base is easy to fill. The sealed line is broad at 34 products, led by Elite Trainer Boxes, booster boxes, blisters and mini tins, along with booster bundles, packs, cases and Build & Battle Boxes.
