Most Valuable Umbreon Pokemon Cards: A Price Guide
A 2007 Pokémon Organized Play Gold Star outprices every modern Umbreon chase card, and a 2003 Skyridge holo still outranks 2025's Prismatic Evolutions Special Illustration Rare by more than $160.
By raw market price, Umbreon's most valuable English-language card is the Umbreon Star from 2007's POP Series 5, a Gold Star holo distributed through the Pokemon Organized Play program. It carried a raw, ungraded market price of $4,697.56 as of September 26, 2026, the highest raw guide price for any Umbreon card that day, and a PSA 10 copy sold at auction for $104,920.00 through Goldin on April 20, 2026.
Among the seven printings this guide tracks, three follow it in the $1,300 to $2,300 range: a 2021 Evolving Skies Alternate Art Secret Rare, a 2025 Prismatic Evolutions Special Illustration Rare, and a 2003 Skyridge holo. This guide's price data cannot say how much of their order comes from supply versus ongoing collector demand.
TCGplayer showed zero active listings on September 26, 2026; the market guide's raw read that day was $4,697.56, the highest of any Umbreon printing checked for this guide.
This guide tracks these seven widely collected Umbreon printings, chosen to span the character's major print eras from a 2003 e-Card era holo to a 2025 chase card. Prices are raw, ungraded market reads from September 26, 2026.
These are not the seven highest-priced Umbreon singles. On the same date, TCGplayer's market price for the 2003 Aquapolis Umbreon H29 holo was $1,252.62, above rank 5, and 16 English-language Umbreon singles outside this list, including EX Delta Species Umbreon at $515.13 and EX Unseen Forces Umbreon ex at $500.50, priced above rank 6.
Every figure above is a TCGplayer market price read on September 26, 2026, except the Gold Star and Skyridge rows. Neither had an active TCGplayer market price that day, so their raw price comes from a market price guide's aggregated read for the same date instead.

TCGplayer market prices read September 26, 2026, except POP Series 5 and Skyridge, priced from a market price guide the same day.
The gap between rank 1 and rank 2 is the widest step in the table, $2,482.77, more than double. Rank 3 and rank 4, the 2003 Skyridge holo and the 2025 Prismatic Evolutions ex, sit $161.55 apart across a 22-year printing gap.
Why the 2007 promo beats modern chase cards
The Umbreon Star card was one of only 17 cards in POP Series 5, a promotional set released from March to September 2007 through Pokemon Organized Play events and affiliated products rather than as a mainline retail expansion. Six other POP Series 5 cards also turned up as holo variants in retail Value and Gift Packs; the Umbreon Star was not one of them.
This guide's price data cannot separate how much of the Gold Star's price lead comes from that narrower distribution and how much comes from ongoing collector demand for this specific character. What it can show is the size of the gap itself: on September 26, 2026, the Gold Star's raw price was more than double the next card on the list, and more than 54 times the price of its own 2021 reprint.
Evolving Skies and Prismatic Evolutions, by contrast, were mainline retail releases sold in sealed booster products: Evolving Skies alongside the rest of the Sword & Shield era, and Prismatic Evolutions as a Scarlet & Violet special expansion sold in Elite Trainer Boxes, booster bundles and collection boxes rather than standard booster boxes. This guide has no print-run figures for any of these sets, so it cannot measure how much of the price table above reflects circulation versus collector demand.
Skyridge 2003 vs Prismatic Evolutions 2025
Skyridge released on May 12, 2003, deep in the Pokemon TCG's e-Card era, 22 years before Prismatic Evolutions. On September 26, 2026, its holo Umbreon still carried a higher raw price than Prismatic Evolutions' 2025 Umbreon ex Special Illustration Rare: $1,545.60 in the market guide against $1,384.05 on TCGplayer, a $161.55 gap. On the guide's own raw read for both cards, the gap is wider, $1,545.60 against $1,214.00.
Market guide raw read $1,545.60 on September 26, 2026, $161.55 above the 2025 Prismatic Evolutions Umbreon ex on the same date.
Skyridge's Umbreon H30 is one of 32 holo rares in the set's secondary H numbering, separate from its 144 main-set cards. Prismatic Evolutions' Umbreon ex is numbered 161/131, one of 32 Special Illustration Rares in a 180-card set that runs past its 131-card official count. This guide's price data cannot isolate how much of the gap comes from each set's structure versus sustained collector demand for this specific character across both eras.
Grading premiums are not one number
A PSA 9 or PSA 10 grade does not add the same percentage to every Umbreon card; in the table below the PSA 10 multiple ranges from under 2x to more than 100x raw. For how grading and graded populations work in general, see Cardboard Alpha's Pokemon card grading guides.

Undaunted's Umbreon Prime shows the widest swing in the table: raw is $575.30, and its PSA 10 guide price is $61,600.00, more than 100 times raw, though its PSA 10 sales have swung widely in 2026 (see note below). The Evolving Skies VMAX shows the narrowest: its Grade 9 read of $2,098.10, pooled across graders, sits slightly below its own raw market price on the same date. That inversion is a byproduct of comparing TCGplayer's raw read against the market guide's blended-grader column rather than a confirmed supply signal.
Read Umbreon Prime's PSA 10 figure with extra caution. Its current PSA 10 guide price is $61,600.00, but its 2026 PSA 10 sales climbed from $13,500.00 in March to three September sales at $70,168.00, $74,550.69, and $91,100.00, a wide spread on its own. Treat the market price as directional, not precise.
The Skyridge PSA 10 figure above is a blended guide price, not a single sale. Its 2026 PSA 10 sales have run from $39,698.90 (2026-05-31) up to $100,000.00 (2026-09-13), including a second sale that same day at $65,000.00, so any single result can sit far from the blended figure.
The Gold Star's graded figures are sales the market guide had recorded through July 2026, and later sales may sit well above them. ComicBook.com reported on September 11, 2026 that a PSA 9 POP Series 5 Umbreon Gold Star sold for $60,000 at Fanatics Collect, a sale the market guide had not yet recorded when it was read for this article.
The Celebrations reprint next to the original
Celebrations: Classic Collection reprinted the Gold Star artwork as Umbreon Star CC15, part of a 25-card tribute subset released October 8, 2021 for the Pokemon TCG's 25th anniversary.
TCGplayer market price $86.46 as of September 26, 2026, roughly 1/54th of the original 2007 Gold Star's raw price on the same date.
Same character and Gold Star branding, but not an identical card: Classic Collection uses a Confetti Holofoil finish and a "Classic Collection" rarity label, distinct from the 2007 original's Gold Star treatment. This guide has no print-run figure for either card, so it cannot say how much of the price gap reflects the reprint's distribution in a 25th-anniversary retail product versus collector preference for the original printing.
What this guide does not price
PSA population counts are absent from every table above. PSA's own population report pages could not be read for this guide, so no grade-by-grade population figure appears anywhere in it, and none of the grading premiums above should be read as a population-driven conclusion.
This guide also does not cover Umbreon's other printings that fall outside its seven-card scope, including the Aquapolis and EX-era cards named above and every Japanese-language release, among them Japan's Players Club Umbreon Gold Star, whose PSA 10 sold for $180,000 at Fanatics Collect in February 2024. Those cards are excluded rather than priced at a rounded-down guess.
Every dollar figure here is also a single dated snapshot, not a trend line. Prices for actively traded modern cards like the Evolving Skies VMAX and the Prismatic Evolutions ex move week to week.
The two oldest cards in the table, the Gold Star and the Skyridge holo, trade thinly enough that a single new sale can shift their visible market price by a meaningful percentage. Ranking within this guide is more durable than any single number in it.
Collectors who want to follow any of these seven printings as new listings and sales come in can track them on the wall rather than rely on a single dated snapshot.
Frequently asked questions
What is the single most valuable Umbreon card?
By raw market price, the most valuable English-language Umbreon card is the Umbreon Star from 2007's POP Series 5, a Gold Star holo distributed through the Pokemon Organized Play program. Its raw market price was $4,697.56 on September 26, 2026, and a PSA 10 copy sold for $104,920.00 through Goldin on April 20, 2026. Japan's Players Club Umbreon Gold Star, a 70,000-point promo this guide does not rank, has sold higher in PSA 10: $180,000 at Fanatics Collect in February 2024.
Is the Evolving Skies Umbreon VMAX worth more than the Prismatic Evolutions Umbreon ex?
Yes, by a wide margin. The Evolving Skies Alternate Art VMAX carried a TCGplayer market price of $2,214.79 on September 26, 2026, against $1,384.05 for the Prismatic Evolutions Special Illustration Rare on the same date, a difference of $830.74.
Does the 2003 Skyridge Umbreon still outprice a 2025 chase card?
Yes. Its $1,545.60 raw guide price on September 26, 2026 was $161.55 above the Prismatic Evolutions Umbreon ex's $1,384.05 TCGplayer market price on the same date. On that guide's own raw read for both cards, the gap is wider: $1,545.60 against $1,214.00. This guide's price data cannot say how much of that gap comes from supply versus collector demand.
How much does a PSA 10 grade add to an Umbreon card's value?
It depends entirely on the card. Undaunted's Umbreon Prime shows the widest gap in this guide: its PSA 10 guide price of $61,600.00 runs more than 100 times its $575.30 raw price, though its 2026 PSA 10 sales have ranged from $13,500.00 in March to $91,100.00 in September. The Evolving Skies VMAX shows the narrowest: its PSA 10 read $4,125.00 against a $2,214.79 raw price, less than double. Grading premiums in this guide are not a hobby-wide constant.
Is the Celebrations reprint the same card as the original Gold Star?
It shares the same character and Gold Star branding, but it is a distinct 2021 printing, Umbreon Star CC15 from Celebrations: Classic Collection's 25-card anniversary subset, using a different Confetti Holofoil finish. Its TCGplayer market price was $86.46 on September 26, 2026, far below the 2007 original's $4,697.56.
