Neo Destiny's 1st Edition Shining Celebi tops every English Celebi printing Cardboard Alpha prices at $3,000.00, four times the Gold Star in second, and nothing from 2010 onward reaches $150.
The single most valuable Celebi card is the 2002 Neo Destiny Shining Celebi in its 1st Edition print, at a TCGplayer market price of $3,000.00 as of September 27, 2026. The same card's Unlimited print sits at $435.00 on the same read.
Second place goes to the 2006 EX Crystal Guardians Celebi, a Pokemon-star (Gold Star) card, at $750.00. No other Celebi finish reaches $500.
This ranking covers every English Celebi printing in Cardboard Alpha's catalog that carried a TCGplayer market price on September 27, 2026, with each separately priced print or finish counted on its own. Values are raw, ungraded prices only.
All ten figures below are TCGplayer market prices, read September 27, 2026 through Cardboard Alpha's own live price ledger, which mirrors TCGplayer's published market data. Two cards appear twice because their 1st Edition and Unlimited prints carry separate TCGplayer prices.
Years are each set's English release year. Card numbers use each set's local numbering.

Nine of the ten come from 2001 through 2006. The steepest step in the table is at the very top: 1st Edition Shining Celebi prices at four times the Gold Star in second place.
The one modern entry is Team Up's Celebi & Venusaur GX Secret Rare, and it is also the highest-priced Celebi printing from 2010 onward in the catalog.
Shining Celebi's 1st Edition premium
Neo Destiny released April 20, 2001 in Japan and February 28, 2002 in English with 113 total cards: a 105-card numbered base set plus 8 Shining Pokemon secret rares numbered 106/105 through 113/105 (Bulbapedia). It was the last English-language expansion to carry the 1st Edition print symbol.
As of September 27, 2026, the 1st Edition print carries a TCGplayer market price of $3,000.00, while the Unlimited print of the identical card and artwork sits at $435.00, a gap of roughly 6.9 times.
Unlimited print TCGplayer market price $435.00 as of September 27, 2026, versus $3,000.00 for the same card's 1st Edition print.
The same split shows up one set earlier. Neo Revelation's Celebi, 3/64, prices at $346.49 in 1st Edition holo and $135.04 in Unlimited holo, about 2.6 times apart. Both prints land in the top 10.
Gold Star and other 2003 to 2006 chase cards
EX Crystal Guardians released August 30, 2006 in English (March 10, 2006 in Japan) as a 100-card set carrying the Pokemon-star rarity, commonly called Gold Star, introduced earlier in the EX series (Bulbapedia). Celebi's Gold Star printing, numbered 100/100, closes out that set's checklist.
At $750.00 on the September 27, 2026 read, it is the most valuable Celebi card that is not a Shining Pokemon.
Three more printings from 2003 to 2005 fill out the upper half of the table:
Celebi ex, Unseen Forces 117/115 (2005): $370.00. Also a Secret Rare numbered past its set's checklist.
Celebi ex (Holo), POP Series 2 017/017 (2005): $166.50 for the holo version.
Dark Celebi's reverse holo reading
Hidden Legends' Dark Celebi, 4/101, ranks third on a TCGplayer market price of $499.99 for its reverse holo finish. That number deserves a caveat.
The move: Cardboard Alpha's ledger recorded $75.07 for the same reverse holo finish on September 22, 2026. It has read $499.99 on every daily read from September 23 through September 27.
The listings: TCGplayer's September 27, 2026 price data put the lowest and highest listings for that finish at $49.99 and $78.98, well under the market price.
The regular holo: the standard holofoil Dark Celebi priced at $78.98 on the same date.
The card ranks third on the data as published. Because that market price sits far above every current listing, this guide treats $499.99 as an unsettled price, not a settled level.
Modern Celebi cards trade far lower
No Celebi printing released from 2010 onward reaches $150 in the catalog. Team Up's Celebi & Venusaur GX Secret Rare leads that group at $143.28 and is the only modern card in the top 10.
Two Sword and Shield cards show how far the modern range drops:
Celebi V, Fusion Strike 245/264 (2021), Alternate Full Art: $89.86 as of September 27, 2026.
Celebi VMAX, Chilling Reign 199/198 (2021), Secret Rare: $26.91 as of the same date.
Both released in 2021, yet the Alternate Full Art Celebi V costs roughly 3.3 times the Secret Rare VMAX. Rarity label alone does not sort these prices.
What this guide does not price
Every figure above is a raw, ungraded TCGplayer market price. No PSA or CGC population count and no graded price level appears anywhere in this guide. Direct requests to psacard.com returned a Cloudflare bot-challenge response during this guide's research, so those figures are not tracked here.
A raw price should never stand in for a graded one, in either direction. For how hard individual sets grade, see gem mint 10 odds by set.
This guide also does not claim an auction-house realized sale for any Celebi card. No Tier-1 auction-house record specific to a Celebi lot was located within this pass's research budget, so every figure here comes from TCGplayer's fixed-price market data alone, never from a bid.
Japanese-language Celebi printings are outside this ranking, which covers English printings only.
Neo Destiny's Shining Celebi in its 1st Edition print, at a TCGplayer market price of $3,000.00 as of September 27, 2026. It ranks first among every English Celebi printing in Cardboard Alpha's catalog, four times the $750.00 Crystal Guardians Gold Star in second.
Why is 1st Edition Shining Celebi worth so much more than the Unlimited print?
On the September 27, 2026 read, the 1st Edition print priced at $3,000.00 against the Unlimited print's $435.00, a gap of roughly 6.9 times for the same card and artwork. Neo Destiny was the last English-language Pokemon TCG expansion to carry the 1st Edition print symbol, per Bulbapedia.
Why is a Dark Celebi reverse holo ranked third?
Because the ranking follows TCGplayer's market price, which put the Hidden Legends Dark Celebi reverse holo at $499.99 on September 27, 2026. That figure jumped from $75.07 on September 22, and listings for the same finish ran from $49.99 to $78.98, so this guide treats it as an unsettled price rather than a settled level.
Does this guide cover graded Celebi cards?
No. Every price here is a raw, ungraded TCGplayer market price. PSA's population report pages returned a Cloudflare bot-challenge response during this guide's research, so no graded population count or graded price level is included anywhere.
Are these prices going to stay the same?
No single figure in this guide is a forecast. Each price is a dated snapshot of TCGplayer's published market data, read through Cardboard Alpha's own live price ledger on September 27, 2026, and raw-card prices move over time. The Hidden Legends Dark Celebi reverse holo, for one, moved from $75.07 to $499.99 in the five days before this read.
