How to Calculate Sealed Booster Box Expected Value

A booster box's expected raw-card value comes from two sourced numbers per rarity tier, its pull rate and its average raw price, divided and summed. Worked on Pokemon TCG: Scarlet & Violet-Surging Sparks using TCGplayer's own measured pull rates and Cardboard Alpha's live price ledger, one pack returns about $2.07 in expected raw-card value and a 36-pack box returns about $74.39, against a live box price of $303.23 as of September 27, 2026.
