The hardest slots set the shape of the SM trainer Kit (Alolan Raichu) master set, a small Sun & Moon era release from April 21, 2017 for the English-language Pokémon TCG. It takes 30 slots, exactly matching the 30 cards in the set, so no card adds an extra variant. Normal prints fill 29 of the slots and a single holo fills the last one. Laid out nine to a side, the whole master set fits on 2 double-sided binder pages, which makes it one of the lighter master set checklists to house.
Variants barely come into this master set. The SM trainer Kit (Alolan Raichu) checklist has only two families: Normal, with 29 slots, and Holo, with a single slot. There are no reverse holo slots, no stamped versions and no edition prints to track, so completing the master set mostly means finding one copy of each card in its standard finish. The lone holo is the one slot where the finish differs from the rest of the checklist.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 29 | 28 | 68% |
| Holo | 1 | 1 | 32% |
Value in the SM trainer Kit (Alolan Raichu) master set is concentrated. Only 29 of the 30 slots carry a price, and the ten most valuable slots hold 78 percent of the master set's total value, leaving the lower-value half of the priced slots with just 14 percent between them. By finish, normal prints account for 68 percent of the total and the single holo for 32 percent, a large share for one slot. These shares are as of October 24, 2026.

Five slots carry the difficulty in the SM trainer Kit (Alolan Raichu) master set, and together they hold 67 percent of its total value. The holo Alolan Raichu ranks first, followed by two separate Pikachu normal prints, the common Togedemaru normal print and the normal Alolan Raichu. None of the five is an extra variant of a card, so there is no hidden high-value variant here. The pressure comes from a handful of ordinary slots, including a common, valued well above the rest of the checklist.
At 30 slots, the SM trainer Kit (Alolan Raichu) master set is a compact job for a master set of its era. The set before it, XY trainer Kit (Suicune), takes 31 slots and holds a higher master set value than this one. The set after it, My First Battle, is far larger at 82 slots and also holds a higher value. Either neighbor asks for more binder space and a larger total value than this small kit, which finishes inside two binder pages.

A SM trainer Kit (Alolan Raichu) master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 30 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
