Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the Scarlet & Violet era.
Shrouded Fable is an expansion in the Scarlet & Violet era of the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on August 2, 2024 under the set code SFA. It lists 64 official cards with 35 secret cards above that count, 99 printings in all. The headline cards are a Persian illustration rare and a Basic Darkness Energy, and the set leans on Darkness, Psychic, Colorless and Grass Pokémon. Pecharunt ex appears in four versions, while Cassiopeia, Fezandipiti ex, Munkidori ex and Okidogi ex each appear three times, so the card list is built around that group of ex cards and the Trainer who accompanies them.
The pull ladder in Shrouded Fable runs from commons and uncommons up to 44 chase-tier cards, and the secret cards are numbered past the printed 64. Illustration rares are the largest chase group at 15, with five special illustration rares and five hyper rares above them. Persian, illustrated by Whisker, is the most valuable card, followed by the hyper rare Basic Darkness Energy, then Houndoom by Taiga Kasai, Duskull by James Turner and the Cassiopeia special illustration rare. The top five cards hold 34 percent of the set's total card value, a moderate concentration that spreads worth across the illustration rare tier.

A full run of Shrouded Fable means 99 printings, and all 99 are priced. With the top five cards holding 34 percent of total card value, the cost of a complete set depends on a handful of illustration rares and the hyper rare energy, though the value is spread wider than in many sets, and the many commons and uncommons are a small part of it. The sealed line includes 23 products, mainly mini tins and Elite Trainer Boxes, along with displays, blisters and booster bundles.
