Mega Evolution is the English-language Pokémon TCG expansion that opens the Mega Evolution era and carries the series of the same name. It released on September 26, 2025 under set code MEG, with 132 official cards and 56 secret cards numbered above that count, for 188 printings in the card list. The set brings the Mega ex mechanic back to the game, and its identity runs through Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex, each printed four times across rarities, with Mega Venusaur ex among the other headline cards. Grass, Fighting, Psychic and Colorless Pokémon make up its type spread.
The pull ladder in Mega Evolution climbs from commons and uncommons through rares and double rares to 66 chase-tier cards, with the secret cards sitting above the printed 132. Mega Lucario ex in Mega Hyper Rare, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, is the most valuable card, followed by the Special illustration rare Mega Gardevoir ex by Raita Kazama and the Special illustration rare Mega Lucario ex by Atsushi Furusawa. The Mega Hyper Rare Mega Gardevoir ex ranks 4th. The top five cards hold 62 percent of the set's total card value, so a few chase cards define the market.
As of October 2026, Mega Evolution holds the 3rd highest total card value of the 7 comparable sets in its era, about 1.3 times the era median, and ranks 84th among the 130 sets across the English game. Its most valuable single card places 4th in the era, while trading activity ranks 7th. At 132 official cards it runs larger than the era median of 94. It followed White Flare, which holds more total value, and came before Phantasmal Flames, which holds less. Its cards first appeared in the Japanese set m1L: Mega Brave, released August 1, 2025.
