The cost of the Mega Evolution master set is concentrated at the very top, which matters before any binder gets filled. The master set takes 369 slots against 188 cards in the set: 132 official cards plus 56 secret rares. That works out to about 2 slots per card. Normal prints account for 128 slots, reverse holos for 123 and holos for 118. Laid out nine to a side, the full run fills 21 double-sided binder pages. It is a big job for a Mega Evolution era expansion in the English-language Pokémon TCG, released September 26, 2025.
The Mega Evolution master set is built mostly from three families: Reverse Holo with 122 slots, Normal with 110 and Holo with 91. The reverse holo slots come from the Common, Uncommon and Rare cards, which is why the master set runs well past the card count. The rest is a short run of Player Rewards Program prints, in normal and holo foil versions, plus Cosmos holo foil and a pair of Holo Set Logo stamped slots. A stamped print is the same card carrying a mark that sets it apart from the standard one, and each gets its own slot in the binder.

As of October 24, 2026, 364 of the 369 Mega Evolution master set slots carry a price, and the value is very lopsided. The ten most valuable slots hold 67 percent of the total, while the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 2 percent. By finish, holos carry 93 percent of the master set cost, normal prints 5 percent and reverse holos 2 percent. Despite the large reverse holo count, those 123 slots barely register in the total, so the master set cost is really a question of a small group of holo cards.

Five slots decide how hard the Mega Evolution master set is to finish: the Mega Hyper Rare Mega Lucario ex, the Special illustration rare Mega Gardevoir ex, the Special illustration rare Mega Lucario ex, the Mega Hyper Rare Mega Gardevoir ex and the Special illustration rare Mega Venusaur ex. All five are Holo slots and the main print of their card, not a hidden variant. Together they hold 51 percent of the master set's total value, so the remaining slots count for far less than their number suggests.
At 369 slots, the Mega Evolution master set is about 1.6 times the Mega Evolution era median of 233 slots. By master set value it ranks 3rd among the 7 comparable sets of the era. The set before it, White Flare, has 411 slots and a master set that holds more value. The next set, Phantasmal Flames, has 233 slots, exactly the era median, and a master set that holds less value. That makes this one of the larger jobs in its era, though not the largest.

A Mega Evolution master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 188 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
