Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the Black & White era.
Legendary Treasures is the closing expansion of the Black & White era in the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on November 6, 2013 under the set code LTR. It sits at the end of a series that began with Black & White itself and was followed by the XY era. The official count is 113 cards, with 27 secret cards above it, for 140 catalog printings in all. Reshiram appears in three versions, while Cinccino, Emolga, Gothita and Kirlia each turn up twice. The set leans on Psychic, Grass, Fire and Water Pokémon, and its top cards pair the two Unova dragons with Mew-EX.
The rarity ladder runs from commons and uncommons through rares to five Ultra Rares and two Secret Rares, seven chase-tier cards in all, and the secret cards are numbered past the printed 113. The Secret Rare Zekrom leads the card list, followed by the Secret Rare Reshiram, and both carry 5ban Graphics artwork. The Ultra Rare Mew-EX, illustrated by MAHOU, ranks 3rd, with Kagemaru Himeno's Ultra Rare Reshiram 4th. Pikachu at Uncommon, drawn by Atsuko Nishida, is a notable 5th. The top five cards hold 58 percent of the set's total card value, so most of the worth in Legendary Treasures sits in a handful of cards.

Completing Legendary Treasures means tracking 140 printings, and all 140 are priced. Because the top five cards carry 58 percent of the set's total card value, the weight of a complete set rests on the two Secret Rare dragons and a few Ultra Rares, while the remaining run of commons, uncommons and rares contributes a much smaller share. The Legendary Treasures card list also stretches to 46 illustrators, with Atsuko Nishida, Eske Yoshinob and Kagemaru Himeno holding the most cards. Sealed product comes as three listings: a booster box and booster packs.
