Variants define the Legend Maker master set, which takes 197 slots to complete from only 93 cards: 92 in the official count plus 1 secret card. That works out to about 2.1 slots per card, since reverse holos and extra prints sit alongside the base cards. Normal prints fill 85 slots, reverse holos 82 and holos 30. Laid out nine to a side, the full master set fills 11 double-sided binder pages. It belongs to the EX era of the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on February 13, 2006.
The Legend Maker master set is built mostly from three families: Reverse Holo with 82 slots, Normal with 68 and Holo with 25. Reverse holos appear for rares, commons and uncommons, so nearly every tier of the checklist adds a second slot. The remaining slots come from stamped Normal prints tied to named players, among them Miska Saari with 4, Jason Klaczynski with 3 and Jeremy Scharff Kim, Jimmy Ballard and Jun Hasebe with 2 each. A stamped print is its own binder slot, separate from the plain Normal card it shares a number with.

The Legend Maker master set cost is heavily concentrated. As of October 24, 2026, 194 of the 197 slots carry a price, and the ten most valuable slots hold 53 percent of the total. By finish, holos account for 60 percent of the value and reverse holos for 37 percent, leaving normal prints with just 2 percent. The lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 3 percent. Condition matters too: an LP and up master set sits 26 percent below the Near Mint total, and an MP and up run sits 45 percent below it.

The hardest Legend Maker master set slots are all holos. The Regice ☆, Regirock ☆ and Registeel ☆ holo rares rank first, second and third by value, followed by the Arcanine ex holo rare in fourth. The fifth is the surprise: the Gengar holo rare in its Gym Challenge variant, a variant slot rather than the card's main print, so a binder with every base card can still be missing it. Together, these five slots hold 42 percent of the master set's total value.
At 197 slots, the Legend Maker master set is about 0.8 times the EX era median of 234, so it is a smaller job than most sets of its time. By master set value it ranks 7th among the 16 comparable EX era sets. The neighbors are larger: Delta Species before it has 258 slots and Holon Phantoms after it has 213, and both hold higher master set value than Legend Maker. Fewer slots here do not mean a lower-value finish.

A Legend Maker master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 93 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
