Hidden Fates is a Sun & Moon era expansion in the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on August 23, 2019 with the set code HIF. It is a compact release of 68 official cards plus 1 secret card above that count, 69 printings in all. The set is defined by its headline GX cards, with Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno GX printed three times across different versions, and by Jessie & James, the most valuable card in the card list. It leans on Colorless, Psychic, Water and Fairy Pokémon, with repeat names such as Clefairy, Eevee, Ekans and Giovanni\u2019s Exile.
The Hidden Fates pull ladder runs from commons and uncommons through rares up to 12 Ultra Rare cards and a single Secret Rare, which sits above the printed 68 in the numbering. Jessie & James is the most valuable card, an Ultra Rare illustrated by Megumi Mizutani, followed by two Ultra Rare versions of Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno GX and the Secret Rare version of the same trio, illustrated by 5ban Graphics. Charizard GX rounds out the top five. Those five cards alone hold 79 percent of the set's total card value, so the chase is very concentrated.
As of October 2026, Hidden Fates holds the 15th highest total card value of the 16 comparable Sun & Moon sets, about 0.2 times the era median, and the 124th across the whole game's 130 comparable sets. Its top card also ranks 15th in the era, yet it places 3rd for trading activity. At 68 printed cards it is smaller than the era median of 148. It followed Unified Minds, which holds more total value, and came before Cosmic Eclipse, which also holds more. Its cards first appeared in the Japanese set smL: Sun & Moon Family Pokemon Card Game, released March 15, 2019.

The full Hidden Fates run is 69 printings, and all 69 are priced. Because the top five cards carry most of the value, the cost of a complete set is driven by a handful of Ultra Rare and Secret Rare cards, while the commons, uncommons and rares that make up the bulk of the card list matter far less. The sealed line includes 18 products, mainly tins and Elite Trainer Boxes alongside an Ultra Premium Collection, booster packs and assorted other sealed items.
