Release date, card count, chase cards and how it compares with the EX era.
Dragon Frontiers is a 101-card expansion from the EX era of the English-language Pokémon TCG, released on November 8, 2006 under the set code DF. Every one of its 101 catalog printings sits within the official count, with no secret cards above it. The set is built around delta species Pokémon, and several of them, Horsea δ, Seadra δ, Trapinch δ and Vibrava δ, appear in two versions each. Its headline cards are Mew ☆ δ and Charizard ☆ δ, and it leans on Fighting, Psychic, Fire and Lightning types.
Dragon Frontiers has a flat rarity structure of 40 rares, 31 uncommons and 30 commons, with no chase-tier cards and nothing numbered past the printed 101. All the value sits in the rare slot. Mew ☆ δ leads, followed by Charizard ☆ δ, both illustrated by Masakazu Fukuda, then Salamence ex δ and Dragonite ex δ, both by Ryo Ueda. The top five cards alone hold 71 percent of the set's total card value, so the set's worth is carried by a handful of delta ex and Star rares rather than spread across the card list.

It followed Crystal Guardians, which holds less total value, and came before Power Keepers, which also holds less. Its cards first appeared in the Japanese set Offense and Defense of the Furthest Ends, released June 29, 2006, with 66 cards shared.

Completing Dragon Frontiers means finding all 101 printings, and every one of them is priced. Because the top five cards carry 71 percent of the set's total value, the cost of a complete set depends largely on a few delta ex and Star rares, while the remaining commons and uncommons are a small share. Sealed product on the page includes a booster box, a booster pack and a blister, covering the main ways the set was sold at release.
