Slots and binder pages, variant families, where the cost sits, the most valuable slots and how it compares with the Diamond & Pearl era.
The DP trainer Kit (Lucario) master set comes to 11 slots for the 11 cards in the set, so every card adds exactly one slot and no extra variants stand between a collector and the end of the checklist. Ten slots are normal prints and one is a holo. Laid out nine to a side, the whole master set fills a single double-sided binder page. It is an English-language Pokémon TCG kit from the Diamond & Pearl era, released on September 1, 2007, and among the smallest master set jobs the era offers.
The DP trainer Kit (Lucario) master set is built from two variant families: Normal with 10 slots and Holo with one. Each card in the set appears in a single finish, so completing the master set means finding one copy of each card in that finish. The holo is the only finish distinction, and it sets the Lucario slot apart from the ten normal prints that fill out the rest of the binder page. A holo is a card with a foil-treated art area, which is why that slot stands out from the plain prints beside it.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 10 | 10 | 28% |
| Holo | 1 | 1 | 72% |
Almost all of the DP trainer Kit (Lucario) master set cost sits in a few slots. All 11 slots carry a price, and the ten most valuable hold 99 percent of the total, while the lower-value half of the priced slots hold just 8 percent. By finish, the single holo accounts for 74 percent of the value and the ten normal prints share the other 26 percent. Condition matters as well: as of October 24, 2026, the LP and up total sits 26 percent below the Near Mint total, and the MP and up total sits 62 percent below it.

Five slots decide how hard the DP trainer Kit (Lucario) master set is to finish, and together they hold 90 percent of its total value. The Lucario holo leads, followed in value order by the normal prints of Quick Ball, Graveler, Riolu and Machoke. None of them is a variant, since this master set has no extra variants, so the difficulty comes from the main prints themselves. Even a trainer card like Quick Ball and the Riolu evolution line outrank the rest of a very short checklist.
At 11 slots, the DP trainer Kit (Lucario) master set is a small job even among kit releases. The neighbouring kits are larger: EX trainer Kit 2 (Plusle), the previous set, has 12 slots, and HS trainer Kit (Gyarados), the next, has 30. The master sets of both hold higher value than this one. The Gyarados kit is the far bigger undertaking, while the Plusle kit is close in size to this master set and still outvalues it.

A DP trainer Kit (Lucario) master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 11 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
