Destined Rivals is an English-language Pokémon TCG expansion in the Scarlet & Violet era, released May 30, 2025 under the set code DRI. It is led by Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, Cynthia's Garchomp ex and Ethan's Ho-Oh ex, all of which appear in several versions, as do Team Rocket's Crobat ex and Arven's Mabosstiff ex. The card list runs to 182 official cards plus 62 secret cards, for 244 printings in total. Its cards lean on Darkness, Grass, Water and Fire Pokémon. The release date also marks the point where Team Rocket and trainer-owned Pokémon became its defining themes.
Destined Rivals has 79 chase-tier cards, spread across illustration rares, ultra rares, double rares, special illustration rares and hyper rares, and the 62 secret cards are numbered past the printed 182. The most valuable cards are Special illustration rares: Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex by Iwamoto05 leads, followed by Cynthia's Garchomp ex by HICO KIM, Ethan's Ho-Oh ex by Atsushi Furusawa and Team Rocket's Nidoking ex by Uninori. The top five cards alone hold 58 percent of the set's total card value, so a complete run is priced largely by those pulls.
As of October 2026, Destined Rivals holds the 7th highest total card value of the 16 comparable Scarlet & Violet sets, about 1.2 times the era median, and its top card ranks 5th among the era's single most valuable cards. Only one comparable set in the era trades more actively. Across all 130 comparable sets in the game it ranks 82nd by total value. At 182 official cards it runs larger than the era median of 164. It followed Journey Together, which holds less total value, and came before Black Bolt, which holds more. Its cards first appeared in Japanese in SV10: The Glory of Team Rocket, released April 18, 2025.

The full run is 244 printings, and all 244 are priced, so every card in the card list has a market reference. Because 58 percent of total value sits in the top five cards, the cost of a complete set depends mostly on those few special illustration rares, while the commons, uncommons and rares that fill most of the 182 official slots add little.
