The Crimson Invasion master set takes 217 slots, set against 125 cards in the set: 111 in the official count plus 14 secret rares. Each card adds about 1.7 slots on average, because the commons, uncommons and rares also come as reverse holos. Reverse holos make up 92 of the slots, normal prints 81 and holos 44. Laid out nine to a side, the full run fills 13 double-sided binder pages, a modest job for a Sun & Moon era expansion released in the English-language Pokémon TCG on November 3, 2017.
Three families make up the Crimson Invasion master set checklist: Reverse Holo with 92 slots, Normal with 81 and Holo with 44. The reverse holo family is the one that stretches the binder beyond a plain set count, since commons, uncommons and rares each carry a second, reverse holo version alongside the standard print. A reverse holo has the foil pattern on the card frame rather than the artwork, which is why it counts as its own slot. No stamped or special-edition families sit in this set.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reverse Holo | 92 | 92 | 19% |
| Normal | 81 | 80 | 5.1% |
| Holo | 44 | 44 | 76% |
As of October 24, 2026, 216 of the 217 slots in the Crimson Invasion master set carry a price. Value is concentrated: the ten most valuable slots hold 48 percent of the total, while the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 5 percent. By finish, holos hold 75 percent of the master set cost, reverse holos 20 percent and normal prints 5 percent. The 44 holo slots therefore decide where the value sits, while the reverse holo and normal slots, far more numerous, share the remaining quarter between them.

The Crimson Invasion master set is hardest at the top: the Gyarados GX Secret Rare holo, the Lusamine Ultra Rare holo, the Gengar Rare holo and the Gyarados GX Ultra Rare holo are all high-value slots. The surprise is in third place, the Gengar Reverse Holo, a variant slot rather than the card's main print, which outvalues the standard Gengar holo ranked fourth. Together the five hardest slots hold 34 percent of the master set's total value, so a handful of finds carries a third of the job.
At 217 slots, the Crimson Invasion master set is about 0.7 times the Sun & Moon era median of 292 slots, so it is a smaller build than most of its peers. By master set value it ranks 14th among the 16 comparable sets of its era. Its neighbours are both larger and higher in value: Shining Legends has 136 slots and a master set holding higher value, while Ultra Prism has 295 slots and also holds higher value, which makes this master set a lighter commitment than either.

A Crimson Invasion master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 125 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
