Arceus is a Pokémon TCG expansion in the Platinum series of the Diamond & Pearl era, released on November 4, 2009 under the set code AR. It carries 99 official cards with 12 secret cards numbered above that, for 111 printings in all. The set is built around the legendary Pokémon it is named for, with Arceus printed nine times and Arceus LV.X three times, and the headline cards include Gengar LV.X, Ponyta and Salamence LV.X. Grass, Colorless, Fighting and Lightning are the types it leans on most.
Arceus was released November 4, 2009.

Arceus is part of the Diamond & Pearl era.

The Arceus pull ladder runs from commons, uncommons and rares up through 12 holo rares to six chase-tier Rare Holo LV.X cards, with the 12 secret cards sitting above the printed 99. Gengar LV.X is the most valuable card, followed by Ponyta, Arceus LV.X, Shinx and Salamence LV.X. Gengar LV.X is illustrated by Shizurow, while Ryo Ueda drew both Arceus LV.X and Salamence LV.X. The top five cards together hold 54 percent of the set's total card value, so the rest of the card list is comparatively inexpensive.
As of October 2026, Arceus holds the 3rd highest total card value of the 11 comparable Diamond & Pearl sets, about 1.2 times the era median, and its top card also ranks 3rd in the era. It ranks 1st for trading activity, and 53rd by total card value across the whole game. At 99 printed cards it is smaller than the era median of 123. It followed Supreme Victors, which holds more total value, and came before HeartGold SoulSilver, which also holds more. Its cards first appeared in the Japanese set Pt4: Advent of Arceus, released July 8, 2009.

A full Arceus run is 111 printings, and all 111 are priced. Because the top five cards carry more than half of the set's value, the cost of a complete set depends mostly on a handful of LV.X and rare cards, while the commons, uncommons and many rares fill out cheaply. The sealed line has 11 products, led by blister packs and decks, with tins, a booster box and a booster pack also listed.
