BW8: Thunder Knuckle, released in Japan on December 14, 2012, is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Black & White era, catalogued under the set code BW8. It is a compact release of 58 catalog printings. The set gives three Pokémon-EX more than one version each, namely Latias EX, Thundurus EX and Tornadus EX, and its most valuable cards include Umbreon, Dragonite and Thundurus EX. That mix of Eeveelutions, a dragon and several Pokémon-EX defines the card list.
The pull ladder in Thunder Knuckle runs from commons and uncommons through rares to 7 chase-tier cards: 4 Super Rares and 3 Ultra Rares. Value does not follow rarity neatly here. Umbreon and Dragonite, both ordinary Rares, hold the top two spots among the most valuable cards, ahead of Thundurus EX at Super Rare and Latias EX. Even the Uncommon Flareon reaches the top five. The top five cards hold 53 percent of the set's total card value, so a handful of cards carry roughly half of the whole.
As of October 2026, BW8: Thunder Knuckle ranks 9th by total card value among the 18 comparable Black & White sets, about equal to the era median, and 141st across the whole game. Its single most valuable card ranks 12th in the era, though it sits 5th for trading activity. It came after Everyone's Exciting Battle and before Shiny Collection, and both of those hold more total value. Its cards carried over to English in Plasma Freeze, released 4 months later on May 8, 2013, with 51 cards shared between the two.

The full run is 58 catalog printings, of which 42 are priced. Because the top five cards hold 53 percent of total card value, completing Thunder Knuckle is largely a question of landing a few Umbreon, Dragonite and EX cards, while the remaining commons, uncommons and rares are the easy part of the checklist. Among the 42 priced cards, the Pokémon-EX named above sit at the headline end of the list.
