BW8: Spiral Force is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Black & White era, released on December 14, 2012 under the set code BW8. It is a compact release of 58 catalog printings, built mostly from commons and uncommons with a small chase tier on top. Its identity comes from the EX cards it prints more than once, with Deoxys EX, Heatran EX and Latios EX each appearing in two versions, along with the trainer Ghetsis. Latios EX and Heatran EX also lead the set by value, so the EX line is both what defines the expansion and what drives its market.
The pull ladder in BW8: Spiral Force runs from 24 commons and 16 uncommons through 11 rares, then up to 4 Super Rares and 3 Ultra Rares, for 7 chase-tier cards in total. Latios EX and Heatran EX, both Super Rares, are the two most valuable cards in the set, followed by Glaceon and Absol at standard rare and Espeon at uncommon. The top five cards hold 52 percent of the set's total card value, so the weight of the card list sits with that handful of pulls while the remaining cards share the rest.
As of October 2026, BW8: Spiral Force holds the 12th highest total card value of the 18 comparable Black & White sets, about equal to the era median, and ranks 148th across the Japanese Pokémon TCG. Its single most valuable card ranks 15th in the era, while it is 6th for trading volume. It followed Everyone's Exciting Battle, which holds more total value, and came before Shiny Collection, which also holds more. English collectors received 49 of its cards in Plasma Freeze, released on May 8, 2013, 4 months after the Japanese release.

Completing BW8: Spiral Force means finding all 58 catalog printings, of which 44 are priced. Because the top five cards carry 52 percent of the set's value, the cost of a full run depends mostly on the two Super Rare EX cards and a few leading rares, while the commons and uncommons carry comparatively little of the total. Collectors working through the card list will find the set short and manageable in size.
