Variants in the Undaunted master set

Most of the Undaunted master set checklist comes from three plain families: reverse holo with 80 slots, normal with 71 and holo with 21. Reverse holo versions exist for commons, uncommons, rares and holo rares, which is why that family rivals the normals in size. The remaining slots are special or stamped prints: a Reverse Holo Foil League stamp, Holo Foil Cracked Ice, and a few prints tied to named players or artists. Each of these counts as its own slot, so a collector needs the specific stamped or signed version to fill it, and the ordinary print will not do.

Where the Undaunted master set's cost sits

The Undaunted master set cost is top-heavy. Its ten most valuable slots hold 57 percent of the total, while the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 3 percent. By finish, holos carry 66 percent of the value, reverse holos 27 percent and normals 7 percent, so the 79 normal slots contribute very little. Condition matters a great deal here: an LP and up total sits 37 percent below the Near Mint total, and an MP and up total sits 54 percent below it. Hardest Undaunted master set slots

Five holo slots make the Undaunted master set hard to finish. In value order they are the Rare PRIME Umbreon, two separate Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND holos, the Kyogre & Groudon LEGEND holo, and the Rare PRIME Espeon. Together they hold 40 percent of the master set's total value. All five are the main holo prints rather than variants, so there are no hidden stamped surprises among the top slots. The difficulty is simply that a few LEGEND and PRIME holos outweigh almost everything else in the binder.
