The hardest part of the Evolving Skies master set is a short list of holo chase cards, but the whole job is 378 slots against 237 cards: 203 in the official count with 34 secret rares above it. Each card adds about 1.6 slots on average, split across 132 reverse holo, 130 holo and 116 normal slots. Laid out nine to a side, the master set checklist fills 21 double-sided binder pages. This is a Sword & Shield era set from the English-language Pokémon TCG, released August 27, 2021.
Most slots in the Evolving Skies master set come from three standard families: Reverse Holo with 132 slots, Holo with 125 and Normal with 112. Reverse holos are printed for the Common, Uncommon, Rare and Holo Rare cards, so those tiers are where a reverse holo slot appears alongside the regular print. Beyond those, a handful of special families add to the binder: Normal Trick Or Trade with 4 slots, Holo Snowflake with 3 and Holo Jumbo with 2. These stamped and oversized prints are small in number but each needs its own pocket.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reverse Holo | 132 | 132 | <1% |
| Holo | 125 | 125 | 99% |
| Normal | 112 | 112 | <1% |
| Normal Trick Or Trade | 4 | 4 | <1% |
| Holo Snowflake | 3 | 3 | <1% |
| Holo Jumbo | 2 | 2 | <1% |
Value in the Evolving Skies master set is concentrated at the top. The ten most valuable slots hold 74 percent of the total, and holo slots account for 99 percent of it, leaving reverse holos with just 1 percent. The lower-value half of the priced slots holds a small remainder, so most of the binder adds little to the total. Of 378 slots, 376 carry a price. As of October 24, 2026, an LP and up master set sits 19 percent below the Near Mint total, and an MP and up set sits 31 percent below it.

Five holo slots make the Evolving Skies master set hard to finish: the Umbreon VMAX secret rare, the Rayquaza VMAX secret rare, the Rayquaza V ultra rare, the Dragonite V ultra rare and the Leafeon VMAX secret rare. Together they hold 56 percent of the master set's total value. None is a variant slot; each is the card's main holo print, so the difficulty here lies in the headline cards themselves, and the remaining slots are comparatively easy to fill.
At 378 slots, the Evolving Skies master set is about equal to the Sword & Shield era median of 358, so the sheer size of the job is typical for its era. By master set value it ranks 1st among the 17 comparable sets of the era. Chilling Reign, the previous set, runs to 381 slots and holds lower master set value, while the next set, Celebrations, is a small 25-slot job that also holds lower value. Evolving Skies pairs a standard-sized binder with the highest-value master set in its era.

A Evolving Skies master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 237 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
