Battle Styles is a Sword & Shield expansion in the English-language Pokémon TCG, built around 163 official cards with 20 secret cards numbered beyond that count, for 183 catalog printings under the set code BST. It released on March 19, 2021. The set leans on Fighting, Grass, Water and Metal Pokémon, and it is the one that introduced the two Urshifu forms to English collectors. Several names appear in multiple versions, including Empoleon V, Bruno, Cheryl, Korrina's Focus and Phoebe, each printed three times across the card list.
The Battle Styles card list climbs from commons and uncommons through holo rares to 60 chase-tier cards, spanning Holo Rare V, Holo Rare VMAX, Ultra Rare and Secret Rare. The most valuable cards are Tyranitar V at Ultra Rare, then Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX at Secret Rare, Empoleon V, Mimikyu V and Single Strike Urshifu VMAX. Their illustrators include HYOGONOSUKE, KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA, chibi and Kinu Nishimura. Value is concentrated, as the top five cards alone hold 57 percent of the set's total card value.
As of October 2026, Battle Styles holds 7th place for total card value among the 17 comparable Sword & Shield sets, about 1.5 times the era median, and 102nd across the whole game. Its single most valuable card ranks 8th in the era, while trading activity ranks 13th. At 163 official cards it runs smaller than the era median of 189. It followed Shining Fates, which holds less total value, and came before Chilling Reign, which holds more. Its cards first appeared in Japan in Single Strike Master and Rapid Strike Master, both released January 22, 2021.

Completing Battle Styles means tracking down all 183 catalog printings, and every one of them is priced. Because the top five cards hold 57 percent of total card value, most of the cost of a complete set sits in a few Ultra Rare and Secret Rare pulls, while the commons, uncommons and holo rares make up the bulk of the checklist. The sealed line runs to 30 products, led by blisters, tins and Elite Trainer Boxes, with booster packs, a booster box, booster cases and Build & Battle Boxes also listed.
