Skybox Collectibles

Skybox Collectibles is a trading card and collectibles store at 295 Westport Ave in Norwalk, Connecticut, open Monday through Saturday. It carries sealed product, graded and raw singles, and sports cards alongside the major trading card games, and it runs a steady calendar of release events and weeknight play. It suits Magic players, One Piece and Gundam regulars, Pokémon and sports collectors, and anyone who wants cards graded without handling the paperwork.

What's on the shelves

The store stocks Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Digimon Card Game, Dragon Ball Super Card Game and Weiss Schwarz, plus sports cards. Sealed boxes and packs are the core of the stock, with a growing selection of memorabilia and rare products. Football, baseball and basketball hobby boxes are covered, and basketball boxes can be preordered ahead of release to lock in the price. Both graded and raw single cards are sold, in sports and in trading card games.

Live box breaks run for customers who want to join from home. A loyalty program earns points on every dollar spent, in the store and online.

Buying and selling cards

The store buys singles and graded cards at 50% of value in cash or 60% in store credit, with the credit option available in the store for now. Cards valued under $10 are typically not purchased, so the buy side suits individual cards and collections with some value in them.

PSA grading submissions

Skybox handles PSA submissions end to end, covering the PSA membership fee, paperwork and card sorting, packing, shipping and insurance. For now, cards are accepted through in-store drop-off only. A pre-grading assessment costs $5 per card, and staff look at the likely grade before anything is submitted. Submissions go to PSA only; the store does not send cards to BGS, CGC, SGC or other grading companies.

Terms are worth knowing before dropping off a collection. Payment is due up front, no specific grade is promised, and graded cards must be picked up within 30 days of their return, after which they are considered abandoned to the store.

Events

The store runs a monthly calendar built around new releases and regular weeknight formats. Entry fees are modest, and several events tie to Magic set launches.

All sales of products in the Collectible Cards category are final. Free standard shipping applies to US orders of $200 or more. Trade nights are part of the event calendar for collectors looking to swap cards.
