Gotham Comics

Gotham Comics is a comic and game shop at 15 E Main St in Westminster, Maryland, that pairs a deep comics operation with a working card-game shelf. It suits Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! players who also read comics, and households where one person wants a new issue while another wants a deck.

What's on the shelves

Comics are the core of the store. It carries hundreds of new issues from DC and Marvel as well as a range of smaller publishers, covering a wide spread of genres and ages. New comics arrive every Wednesday, except when a holiday interrupts the schedule. Graphic novels from established names and current creators sit alongside thousands of back issues, action figures, statues, t-shirts and collecting supplies.

On the card side, the store stocks Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Non-collectible card games such as Guillotine and Munchkin are also on the shelves.

The game section reaches well past cards:

• Board games, from older standards like Monopoly and Risk to Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride
• Role playing games, including Vampire, Werewolf and Dungeons and Dragons
• Miniature games, such as Star Wars and Monsterpocalypse
• Accessories, including card supplies, counters and dice

Items that are not in stock can be special ordered, and the staff will also try to track down something hard to find.

Events

No recurring weekly play night is confirmed, and the store is not a confirmed organized-play location for any program. Events are posted as they come up, covering tournaments, sales and other special occasions. The October 2026 calendar has Magic Commander Day on October 24, from 1 PM to 7 PM, the kind of casual multiplayer afternoon that suits Commander decks.
