About
Cards, Comics & Collectibles is a comic and collectibles shop at 51 Main St. in Reisterstown, Maryland, with sports cards, non-sports cards and collectible card games sharing the floor with a deep comics selection. Its stock runs from comics of the 1940s to the present, and the owner is the person behind the Baltimore Comic-Con. It suits comic readers and card collectors who want both under one roof, and shoppers who like a weekend discount.
Comics make up the core of the stock, from the 1940s to current issues, along with a large selection of graphic novels. Sports cards and collectible card games sit alongside them, and the store also carries toys, Funko Pop figures, manga, artist editions and model kits. Board games, RPGs, HeroClix and gaming accessories are part of the mix too.
The store sells exclusive variant covers, including some made for the Baltimore Comic-Con, along with Baltimore Comic-Con yearbooks. It also sells signed celebrity photos, priced from about $30 to $75 depending on the actor.
Most Fridays through Sundays the store runs a rotating sale. The usual pattern is 50% off paperbacks, hardcovers, manga, artist editions and Funko Pop figures, plus 20% off card packs and boxes, covering sports, non-sports and collectible card game products. Some weekends add toys, action figures, model kits and statues to the half-price group, and a few have taken 40% off RPGs, board games, HeroClix and gaming supplies. New releases that week, subscription holds and previously discounted items are excluded. Holiday weekends and themed days, such as a Batman Day weekend, get their own versions.
Each year the store holds a Free Comic Book Day event where family-friendly comic artists mingle with kids. Over the years the store has hosted creators including Jim Lee, Mark Silvestri, Frank Cho, JG Jones and Cliff Chiang.
The owner founded the Baltimore Comic-Con in 2000. It began as a one-day show in a hotel ballroom in Towson and now fills four halls of the Baltimore Convention Center over three days. The 2025 edition ran October 17 to 19.

The store moved to its Main St. address on November 1, 2017, after more than 25 years elsewhere in Reisterstown.
The store opened its doors on May 1, 1984, as a small corner shop, and has since grown to six times its original size. It has served the greater Baltimore area for decades, and the owner's work on the Baltimore Comic-Con grew out of the shop.
