Gamestorm Gaming

Gamestorm Gaming is a local game store at 1243 State Street in Lemont, Illinois, open every day of the week. It is built around Magic: The Gathering, with board games, Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer and Star Wars gaming sharing the space. It suits players who want a table to sit at as much as a shelf to browse, and anyone who wants a store that keeps long, steady hours.

What the store carries

Magic: The Gathering is the store's card game, and the focus there is deck upgrades and growing a collection alongside other players. Beyond cards, the store covers board games, from family titles to heavier strategy games, along with Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying and Warhammer miniatures. Star Wars has its own following among the regulars. The store is organized as a place to play, with real tables and room for a group, rather than as a counter-only shop.

Games and community

Each game has its own group of players that gathers at the store: Magic, board games and Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer, and Star Wars. For a newcomer to the hobby that structure is the useful part, since there is usually someone to ask about building a first deck, joining a campaign or starting a miniatures army. Special events may go past midnight, so a late night of play is possible.

Hours and getting there

The store keeps the same hours every day of the week, which makes it easy to plan around.

The store sits at 1243 State Street, Lemont, IL 60439, and special events can run past the usual closing time.
