Epic Loot Games

Epic Loot Games is a tabletop game store at 9130 Dayton Lebanon Pike in Centerville, Ohio. It carries trading cards, miniatures, role-playing games, board games and gaming accessories under one roof, and it runs a points-based rewards program that suits regulars who shop there often. The store is open seven days a week, with evening hours that run to 9 PM every night.

What's on the shelves

The stock covers the main branches of tabletop gaming: trading card products, miniatures, role-playing games, board games, and the accessories that go with them, including card sleeves, dice and paint for miniatures. If something isn't on the shelf, the store can order any product it carries from its distributors, as long as the distributor still has it available.

The store also buys singles. Sellers can email a list in plain text, in the body of the message, and get a quote before ever coming in, which saves a trip when you're deciding whether a collection is worth bringing.

Rewards program

The Epic Loot Rewards Program is the store's main pricing feature. Customers sign up in the store, and every purchase earns experience points at a rate of 15 XP per dollar spent. Those points are redeemed for discounts on specific product categories and for vouchers good on any purchase.

Members also receive birthday and holiday vouchers twice a year, in summer and winter. Based on lifetime XP level, each voucher is worth between 10% and 25% off any purchase.

The vouchers are the flexible part of the ladder, since unlike the category rewards they work on anything in the store.

How the store runs

The store's stated priorities are a wide and current selection of tabletop games and accessories, friendly and knowledgeable staff who play the games themselves, and a clean, organized, safe and comfortable space for shopping and playing. A code of conduct governs behavior in the store.
