Dreamers Vault Games

Dreamers Vault Games is a tabletop and trading card retailer at 3015 Utah Ave S in Minneapolis, carrying Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! alongside miniatures, role-playing games, board games and comics. It has served the Twin Cities tabletop community for 29 years and runs more than one location, which makes it a store for players who want organized play and a broad hobby selection under one roof, not only a card counter.

What's on the shelves

The store sells trading card singles, sealed trading card game product and accessories. Beyond cards, the stock covers miniature games, role-playing games, paints and modeling supplies, board games, graphic novels, comics and collectibles. Gift cards and store merchandise are also sold.

Several services sit alongside the retail floor: a buylist, consignment, and a special order form for items the store doesn't have on the shelf. Comics readers can use a pull and drop form to manage a regular list of titles. The chain is also working toward bringing its full inventory across all locations into one browsable catalog, tied to its Magic: The Gathering singles operation, Lotus Vault.

Organized play and events

The store is built around organized play for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Warhammer, board game and role-playing nights run weekly, and the store is a regular stop for those groups. Event entry can be preregistered online, which is worth doing for busier nights.

Store policies

Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, and only at the location where the item was bought. Returned items must be sealed in their original packaging without significant wear, and defective products are exchanged for the same item when possible. Sealed collectible card products and singles cannot be returned, and printed material from the comics department is also excluded.

History and other locations

Dreamers Vault Games has been operating for 29 years, and the company has since added a newer store in Eden Prairie, so Utah Ave S is one of several Dreamers Vault locations in the metro. Anyone planning a visit should confirm which location hosts a given night, since the calendar covers all of them.

The local scene

The Utah Ave S store sits in a corner of the west metro with plenty of other hobby shops within a short drive. CSHobby in Hopkins is about 1.5 miles away, and Lodestone Coffee and Games in Minnetonka and Midwest Coin and Collectibles in St Louis Park are both about 1.7 miles out. Red Stamp Cards, also in Minneapolis, is about 2 miles away, and a Hopkins shop covering records, sports cards, memorabilia, comics and Pokémon is about 2.2 miles off.

Two card shows are on the calendar within driving range. PokeConnect Card Show is about 18.5 miles away and next starts on November 6, 2026, and the Maplewood Mall Christmas Card Show is about 16.7 miles away and next starts on December 18, 2026.
