Deep Dive Games

Deep Dive Games is a game store at 908 E State Street in Athens, Ohio, built around Magic: The Gathering singles and a broad mix of tabletop product. It sells to players and collectors in person and ships orders to buyers farther away, and it suits anyone who wants a deep singles catalog, board games, miniatures and accessories from one shop.

What's on the shelves

Singles are the core of the store. The singles collection runs to 4,798 products, with listings spanning older sets such as Visions, Stronghold, Planeshift and Worldwake and newer ones such as Duskmourn: House of Horror and Foundations Jumpstart. Each card is offered in grades from Near Mint down to Damaged, with foil versions available at every grade. Prices on the cards on display run from under $5 for recent commons and uncommons to the mid-$30s for a sought-after older card, and the priciest single in the collection is $474.00.

Sealed Magic product is a smaller part of the stock, centered on the Magic: The Gathering Star Trek release: Commander decks, a scene box, a bundle and a play booster display.

The rest of the store covers other kinds of tabletop play:

Board games range from a $20 Munchkin expansion to the $134.99 HeroQuest set.

Store merchandise

The store also sells its own branded goods: T-shirts in several colors, hooded sweatshirts, trucker hats, a canvas bag and a playmat priced at $30.

Ordering and payment

Orders can be placed and paid for at checkout with American Express, Apple Pay, Discover, Mastercard, PayPal and Visa, among other methods. Buyers report well-packed orders, timely shipping and cards that match their stated condition, so the store works for out-of-town buyers chasing a specific card as well as locals.
