Comics Etc

Comics Etc is a comic book and collectibles shop at 1115 Main St E in Rochester, New York, open since 1983. Cards are one part of a broader stock built around comics, so it suits collectors who want sports cards and non-sports sets in a store that also carries action figures and tabletop role playing games.

What's on the shelves

The shop sells comic books and trade paperbacks alongside several kinds of cards: sports cards, non-sports cards, complete card sets, chase cards and collectible game cards. Action figures and role playing games round out the floor. Non-sports sets and chase cards are the corner of the hobby many card-only shops skip, which gives the store a different feel from a pure sports-card counter.

The store takes special orders, and customers are invited to call with what they need. Each month it also places orders from Previews, the distributor catalog, which is how new comics and collectibles reach the shelves.

Hours and getting there

The store is open every day of the week, with the longest hours on Thursday and a short afternoon on Monday.

The address is 1115 Main St E in Rochester.

History

Comics Etc has served Rochester since 1983, which makes it one of the longer-running shops in the area.

The local scene

Several other card and game stores sit within a short distance. Pair-A-Dice Games, Yankee Clipper House of Cards and We The Hobby are each about 0.2 miles away, WeTheHobby is 0.3 miles away, and Collectors Wholesale is about half a mile away. That makes it easy to browse more than one shop in a single trip.

Farther out, two shows are coming to the Batavia area, about 32.7 miles from the store: the 585Cardz Batavia Card & Collectibles Show starts November 4, 2026, and the Extreme Pokemon Show starts November 15, 2026.
