Comics 2 Games

Comics 2 Games is a family comic shop at 8470 US-42 in Florence, Kentucky, that doubles as a trading card and tabletop gaming stop. It sits one mile west of exit 180 (the Florence and Union exit) off I-75, and it has been operating for 21 years. The core of the store is comics, statues and toys, with a card and gaming counter and a pinball room added on. It suits collectors who want comics and cards from the same shop, and families shopping for kids.

What's on the shelves

On the card side, the store stocks Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Dungeons & Dragons, Loracana and Universus. Supplies include gaming sleeves, card binders, deck boxes and a wide selection of dice. Board games, Pathfinder, and Star Wars miniatures round out the gaming side.

Comics are the larger part of the floor. The back-issue section runs from the Silver Age to current titles and is restocked often. A full range of graphic novels, trade paperbacks and specialty hardcovers sits alongside it, and there is a dedicated section of age-appropriate comics and trades for kids. The store also carries comic collecting supplies.

Collectibles fill much of the rest of the space. Statues and busts come from Sideshow Toys, Hot Toys, DC Collectibles, Kotobukiya, Gentle Giant and others. Action figures and toys include DC and Marvel lines from Hasbro, Mattel, Diamond Select, DC Direct and NECA, plus Funko Pop vinyls, Living Dead Dolls, anime figures and a full line of Gundam model kits. Items not on the shelf can often be special ordered.

The store buys, sells and trades comics and collectible toys every day. Collections are taken in packages, and a trade can be made for something else in the store.

Pull service and discounts

A free comic pull file is open to anyone. With a file, regular-priced new comics, variant comics and back issues are 15% off every day. Graphic novels and hardcover books are also 15% off, statues and busts are 10% off (8% on Sideshow and Hot Toys), and everything else in the store is 10% off. Shoppers who prefer not to open a file can use a stamp card called the Rebound Card.

Pinball

A pinball room has more than 40 titles available to play, which makes the store as much a place to spend an afternoon as a place to shop. It is a draw for people who come in for comics or cards and stay to play.

Awards and reach

The store won the 2026 Entertainment Earth Partner Excellence Award for Best Store. Customers travel from across Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area, and some come from Indiana, Michigan and Tennessee.
