Cards In A Box

Cards In A Box is a card and collectibles shop in Frisco, Texas, at 3625 The Star Blvd, Suite 305. It sells sports cards, Pokémon and other trading cards alongside autographed memorabilia, and it adds something most card shops don't have: a private poker room that can be booked for parties. It suits collectors who like to handle an item before paying for it, and anyone who wants a card shop that doubles as an events space.

What's on the shelves

Sports cards and trading cards are the core of the inventory, with baseball, basketball, football and Pokémon named among the lines carried. Alongside the cards, the store stocks autographed memorabilia such as signed jerseys, photos and other collectibles from athletes. Limited-edition and vintage items round out the stock, along with gift-friendly pieces for sports fans and hobbyists.

Buying happens in person, and the store encourages it: customers can see, feel and examine items before purchasing, and staff are on hand to help match a buyer with pieces for their collection. Some inventory is exclusive to the shop floor.

Events and community

The store runs a mix of collector-oriented events rather than a fixed weekly tournament slate.

• Trade nights, where collectors bring cards to trade with one another.
• Pack battles and live box breaks.
• Meet and greets with guests from the sports and collectibles world, with autographs and photos.
• Release parties timed to new card releases.

No recurring day-and-time schedule is confirmed, and no sanctioned organized-play program is tied to the store, so these events are better understood as periodic gatherings centered on trading and pack opening.

The private poker room

The poker room is a separate private space within the store. It has two poker tables and a big-screen TV, and it can be booked for private events such as birthday parties, bachelor parties and private poker nights. For a shop of this type that is an unusual extra, and it makes the location work as a gathering spot as well as a place to buy cards.
