Atomic Planet Comics

Atomic Planet Comics is a family-owned comic and game store at 8906 E 96th St in Fishers, Indiana. Comics are the core of the business, with graphic novels, trade paperbacks, board games, trading card games and gaming supplies on the same floor. It suits families, regulars who want a pull service, and players who want a casual table for Pokémon, Flesh and Blood, Commander or HeroClix.

What's on the shelves

New inventory arrives every day, and anything not in stock can be ordered on request. Alongside the comics, graphic novels and manga, the store carries board games, dice and other gaming supplies, plus trading card games, with Pokémon and Flesh and Blood the two card games it is built around. Back issues are shelved on the walls and in a damaged-copy bin, and back-issue magazines are kept as well.

The Comic Club pull service is free to join and takes 10% off anything the store orders for a member.

Play and events

The calendar mixes card nights with comics-side sales. Recent and upcoming play includes:

Flesh and Blood players should arrive between 5:30 PM and 6:15 PM to register.

HeroClix play days are also on the schedule, and Riftbound Nexus Night players preregister online. A Gym Leader Challenge league runs three rounds a week. Rounds are 40 minutes plus a three-turn extension, paper or custom proxies are not permitted, and cards not released in the U.S. are not allowed.

For newcomers, the store has held a free Pokémon Learn-To-Play day, with local players teaching the paper card game, the digital VGC format and Pokémon Go.
