Solomon Pond Mall Card Show
MarlboroughSolomon Pond Mall, Marlborough, MA
Solomon Pond Mall Card Show is a sports card and Pokémon show held inside Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, run by Cardboard Promotions LLC. The organizer has been putting on card shows since 1991, and this one is a straightforward buy, sell and trade event for collectors who want to browse tables at a mall rather than a hotel ballroom.
The show covers sports cards and collectibles from all sports, both old and new: graded cards, sets, wax boxes, game-used items, memorabilia, autographs and figurines, along with card supplies. Pokémon and other trading card games sit alongside the sports material, and the December edition is a combined sports card and Pokémon show. Security is provided at all of the organizer's events.
| Date | Venue | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 24, 2026 | Solomon Pond Mall | Completed |
| Nov 29, 2026 | Solomon Pond Mall | Scheduled |
A Sunday, December 27 edition is also planned at the mall, and the organizer runs a separate schedule of shows at other venues, including Dedham, Mansfield and Emerald Square Mall.
A 6-foot table is $55 and an 8-foot table is $70 at Solomon Pond Mall. The table, a tablecloth and a chair are provided. Tables are booked online, either by paying the full fee in advance or by putting down a $20 deposit per table and paying the rest on show day by Venmo, PayPal or cash. A cancellation less than 24 hours before a show forfeits the deposit, and a no-show owes half the table fee unless the promoter judges it an emergency. Tables for the October and November shows have sold out, though openings can appear when a vendor cancels.
Set-up starts two hours before the doors open to the public, and vendors get an email or text with floor plan details a week before each show. The promoter assigns table locations, though preferences are accommodated where possible. Mall shows are relaxed about packing up early or staying past the posted hours.
The rules are short and practical:
The promoter, Doug Keating, has run Cardboard Promotions shows since 1991, which makes this one of the longer-running card show operations in the region. The Solomon Pond Mall dates for fall 2026 are the October 24 show and the November 29 show, with the late-December show to follow.
Solomon Pond Mall Card Show fits collectors who want a low-key, all-sports browse with Pokémon mixed in, and vendors looking for an inexpensive table in a long-established promoter's lineup. Vendors should book early, since recent editions have filled up.
